The life, story, and passions of Lauren
Lauren Welter (formerly Lauren Kruse) is an American singer-songwriter with roots in Wisconsin and now calling the Greater Seattle Area home.

She made her debut in 2017 with her first single, Light Up the City, and has been writing, collaborating, and creating ever since. Passionate about connecting with her audience, she invites listeners to subscribe to her YouTube channel and follow her on their favorite music platforms to stay up to date with her latest projects.

Music was a constant presence in Lauren’s childhood home, filled with '80s hits, golden oldies, pop anthems, timeless classics, and contemporary Christian music. However, she draws her deepest inspiration from iconic female singer-songwriters such as Sara Bareilles, Taylor Swift, Francesca Battistelli, and Colbie Caillat.

Following high school, Lauren pursued her passion for music at Concordia University in Irvine, California, where she earned a degree in music and business.
As an independent artist, Lauren finds joy in performing, songwriting, and leading worship alongside her husband, Shane Welter. Together, they form the acoustic duo Shore Lane, recording and performing a mix of heartfelt originals and fan-favorite covers for diverse audiences. Beyond her own music, Lauren also writes worship songs for her church.

At the heart of her artistry is a desire to connect with people through music—creating moments that allow listeners to feel, reflect, and find meaning in her lyrics. She is especially excited about her latest milestone: her first-ever collaboration with her mom and sister on the song Queens, released on November 26, 2024. Blending pop elements with her signature storytelling, Lauren’s music captures the depth of life’s experiences, emotions, and relationships through her unique perspective.
